We compost everything we can from the restaurant to enrich our soil as well as sharing vegetable waste with our pigs. The spent vegetable oil from our kitchen is used to fuel our farmer’s car, and will power the generator to heat our greenhouses over winter.
Our sustainable seafood selections include: chinook + coho salmon, albacore tuna, halibut, line caught ling cod, locally harvested rainbow trout, red snapper, pacific northwest dungeness crab, bc spot prawns, salt spring island mussels, vancouver island oysters, manila clams and pacific octopus.

"Entire Experience Was Perfect"
The idea of farm to plate is very appealing, and it raises your expectations when the fare has its entire journey under control of the same people. The 10 Acres Kitchen did not disappoint in the slightest. The food was perfect, really well presented, the portion size just right, and the staff were amazing. We went for a "BC" type experience, they suggested local wine to pair with the seafood we ordered and were always there whenever we needed anything. All bases were covered, we felt really well treated.

Our waiter was absolutely fantastic! He was very attentive, engaging, kind, prompt, and helpful. I had the Salmon Wellington, whereas my partner had the chicken. They were so flavorful, succulent, and delicious. We savored every bite of what was on our plates. The oysters as well as the caesar salad were just great! The ambiance of the restaurant was also nice, especially for a night out with your loved one of a dear friend. I would not hesitate to return there if and when I visit Victoria again. Thanks for the wonderful dinner on our first night in town!

I have entertained a large group as well as had a quiet dinner with friends here. The food is grown/raised on their own farm locally and you can tell that the chef is passionate about leaves the kitchen.

My husband and I had lunch on the outdoor patio and thoroughly enjoyed the oysters and cheese board. Cam was an enthusiastic server and updated us on the Commons farm and use of all local veggies, fruit and meats. We booked dinner for the next evening, and again, had a fabulous meal sharing many of the appetizers with both food and pairing recommendations from both Patrick and Adriano. A fabulous dining experience!!!
"A Favourite Spot in the City"
We had dinner at the Kitchen for a special occasion on Saturday night. The meals were excellent; three of us ordered the halibut and my husband had a salad and the gnocchi which was outstanding. The vegetables from 10 Acres were superb, and the halibut was delicious. 10 Acres Bistro has long been one of our favourite spots in the city and we are now keen to try the Commons. Highly recommend any of the 10 Acres locations

"Simply the best meal I’ve EVER had in Victoria"
Business dinner with our most important suppliers. Party of 10. We go for dinner twice per year, once here in Victoria and again in Vegas in the Spring. We have eaten some amazing meals in Vegas at places like Guy Savoy, American Fish and Estiatorio Milos. In Victoria we have often found ourselves at Il Terrazzo but a party of 10 can be tough to squeeze in, so we decided to try the newly renovated Pescatores. Glad we did... I've lived in Victoria for 25 years and have eaten everywhere during that time, only a few are still in business from when I arrived - this was a special surprise - simply put: The Kitchen at Pescatores is the BEST food and overall dining experience I've ever had in Greater Victoria...
